SKMF Updates

HINAMPANG 2009 was officially opened last April 13, 2009. The Local Government Unit, SK federation and Parish of St. Nicolas de Tolentino sponsored the summer sport which includes basketball, volleyball, softball, chess, and badminton.

            Winners of different events received cash and trophies were awarded during the awarding ceremony last May 20, 2009.

            In badminton, singles event category, Klein Jary Prado claimed 3^rd place, Perry Clarreon Lenaming 2^nd place, while Ludwin Leal was champion. In the double men’s category Edgardo Perez Jr. and Ariel Lauresta Jr. effortlessly won the crown when John Rey Peremne and Ann Lloyd Leysa defaulted but still garnered 2^nd place while Perry Clareon Lenaming and Julie Gonzales were in 3^rd place. In the championship match for women’s single, M. Fe Cabrera defeated Liezel Rose Lorilla. In the doubles category, Psyche Aura Luis and Ma. Fe Cabrera defeated the tandem of Liezel Rose Lorilla and Cherry Rose Latañafrancia, to claim the championship. The third place went to Catherene Mae Dizon and Angelie Luzarita. The badminton games were held at LNHS Covered gym.

            The winners in the Inter Parish Chess Federation Tournament held last May 17, 2009 at Lambunao Covered Gym were the following: Champions for board 1 and 2 were claimed by team Oton-A, 2^nd place went to Team Oton-B and 3^rd place to Team Passi-A.

Lambunao defeated Janiuay in the Battle of the Brain Chess Tournament with a score of 9.5 points over 8.5 points.

            In softball finals, Brgy. Manaulan won over Brgy. Cabugao, to emerge as champion. Brgy. Cabugao was 2^nd place and 3^rd place went to Brgy. Ilaya and Cunarom.  In volleyball, District 5 walloped District 1 gaining the championship crown, 3^rd place for Pandan and SK Presidents, and 4^th place for District 8. The final game for softball and volleyball were played last May 17, 2009 at the WVSU – LC Athletic grounds. The highlight of Hinampang 2009 was the final match in basketball last May 20, 2009 held at the Municipal Sports Complex. For group A. Brgy. Alugmawa defeated Brgy. Daanbanwa who dropped at 4^th place, 3^rd place for Brgy Alugmawa. Brgy. Bonbon tripped Brgy. Bansag on the championship match. Bansag dropped to 2^nd place and 1^st place for Brgy. Bonbon. For group B, brgy. Pob. Ilaya defeated Brgy. Buri who ran 4^th pace and Pob. Ilaya on 3^rd place. Pob. Ilawod overwhelmed Brgy. Pungsod for the championship crown. The awarding ceremony immediately followed this basketball championship.

        The LGU of Lambunao led by Hon. Mayor Reynor R. Gonzales profusely thanked the sponsors for this summer sports activities. Father Marvin Tabion, Parish Assistant Priest expressed the church appreciation to those who supported the sports festival. San Miguel Corporation Sponsored  a Live band to Entertain the Tumandoks as well as the athletes who made Hinampang 2009 such a big success.
